Local-First Architecture
Gormers is structurally incapable of surveillance. All AI inference runs locally via Ollama on your Mac. All behavioral data lives in a SQLite database on your machine. Your iPhone syncs to your Mac over your local network. We operate zero cloud infrastructure. We literally cannot see your data because there is no server in the middle.
No Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics platforms, or session recording. We do not build advertising profiles. The only exception is Stripe, which processes payments subject to their privacy policy. We receive confirmation of payment status only.
No Cloud Storage
We do not store your data in the cloud. Your event history, records, briefs, and gorm outputs never leave your devices unless you explicitly export them. If you use Tailscale for remote sync, traffic goes directly between your devices — never through our servers.
Website
gormers.com collects only your email address if you join the waitlist or make a purchase. No analytics, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts beyond Stripe. Your email is stored in our database but is never shared or sold.
iOS Data Types
If you use the Gormers iOS app, it requests access to:
- Always Location — for significant location change detection via CLVisit. Never GPS tracking. Stored locally only.
- Motion & Fitness — for activity type detection. Populates your ACE Day Ring. Synced to Mac only.
- App Usage — foreground app name + duration. Never reads app content. For focus session categorization.
None of this data leaves your devices. All identifiers are locally-generated UUIDs, never transmitted.
Your Rights
Delete your waitlist entry: email privacy@gormers.com. Export your local app data: use the Export feature in Settings. Delete your local data: uninstall the application. There is no cloud account to delete — your data is yours.
Changes
We will post changes to this page. The local-first, no-surveillance architecture is a permanent constraint, not subject to future policy changes.
